Clean vinyl and jacket, only some light sleeve scuffs that DNAP. Jacket has outer bag but may not be original. Name of album written in red marker on brown bag cover. Jacket inside is in good shape, light edge wear. Ask for pics, ultrasonically cleaned and resleeved in a rice paper inner. ships with care in a whiplash mailer from a brick and mortar record store.

USA first pressing.Pressed by Monarch Record Manufacturing in L.A. with “MR” within a circle stamped in the matrix runout dead-wax (if logo is etched and not machine stamped, it’s fake). Runouts are etched, with the circled MR logo stamped.Monarch ‘delta’ number in the matrix indicates that the record was pressed in January 1969; 12796 (side 1) and 12796-x (side 2). Other pressings were issued by Bestway Products in New Jersey, identified by a ‘Bestway’ stamper into the matrix by machine.There are copious reissues and pirates of this release. Genuine brown outer bags are full sized, covering the entire jacket within, and do not have a die-cut hole through which John and Yoko’s faces can be seen. Nearly all copies were ‘sealed’ with a circular WHITE STICKER at the center of the brown bag’s side-opening edge, which is usually split on open copies. Authentic brown bags with no trace of ever having been stickered exist, but are very rare – copies without the white sticker are almost certainly reissues or counterfeit issues from the 1970’s or later.
